How we work on our content

Last updated

There is a great deal of information online about pregnancy and breastfeeding, and most of it has no source. When you're looking for an answer at three in the morning, you don't need another opinion - you need to know where the answer came from.

So we built our content around a single principle: every fact here comes from a recognised source, and we show you which one.

Where the information comes from

We draw only on recognised public health sources - the NHS, the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, La Leche League, the Israeli Ministry of Health, and established professional bodies in lactation care.

We don't quote forums, social media, news articles, or anything generated by AI.

How you can check us

At the foot of every article there is a list of sources. Each one is named, linked directly, and dated with the day we checked it.

That isn't decoration. It's an invitation. If something sounds off to you, click through, read the source, and see for yourself what it says.

Guidance changes, and we follow it

What is true today about breastfeeding or pregnancy was not necessarily true five years ago. That is why every quotation carries a date, and why we go back and re-check our sources.

When a source is updated, we update the article - rather than pretending it always said the new thing.

Where we are especially careful

There are subjects where a mistake is expensive: medicines while breastfeeding, safe sleep, warning signs that need immediate attention. On those we stay close to what the health body actually said, carry the cautions that come with it, and say plainly when to seek help.

We don't diagnose, prescribe, or recommend a dose. For anything that matters, the person who should answer you is the one who can see you and your baby.

The content and the shop are separate

We sell nursing bras, and we're proud of them. But an article about mastitis or milk storage is not written to sell you something, and it will not bend what the sources say to suit us.

If we get something wrong

We will. If you find something inaccurate, tell us - we'll check it against the source, correct it, and note what changed and when.
